About The Temple

ARCHANA SEVA

Archana Seva is a personalized form of worship in Hindu temples, where a priest offers prayers and chants the names of the deity on behalf of a devotee, specifically including the devotee’s name, birth star (nakshatra), and gotra (lineage). The word Archana means "offering" or "adoration," and it involves offering flowers, incense, and other items while reciting the 108 or 1008 names (Ashtottara Shatanamavali or Sahasranama) of the deity.
Archana Seva is considered a direct way for devotees to receive the blessings of the deity, as the prayer is customized to the devotee’s spiritual and personal well-being.
